Change Navigation Workshop or Breakout Sessions
This three hour Change Navigation Model workshop is engaging and detailed, and presented citing several examples relevant to employees in their professional and personal lives. It is an interactive workshop that utilizes case study, group discussion, self-reflection, and lecture. Also, it is designed for human relations, for an organization to offer unique employee benefits… adversity strikes everyone in some form or another.
In his book Adversity Rockstar, Aric H. Morrison introduces his model for facing adversity, known as Change Navigation. Therein is his 20-step approach to helping people face, and hopefully overcome some form of current and future adversity they may be encountering.
In this very well-crafted workshop, his takes his model to your organization or business and applies it specifically to your staff, as it relates to both their work and personal environments. Many HR generalists consider this to be a great way to invest in the emotional health of an organization.
Perhaps you have a small group of employees who might all be facing something difficult, this workshop might be just the right they for them. The use of real-world examples, case study, interactive participation and lecture make this a dynamic use of the allotted three-hour time.
This workshop is limited to two per day, one morning session and one afternoon session. If more are needed, they can either be scheduled in advance as part of the negotiated rate or if the schedule permits, simply be an add-on to an existing contract.
Studies have shown that workshops held with in numbers in excess of 12 people lose their effectiveness due to size and ability for all participants to effectively be able to contribute. For this reason, there is strict limit of 10-12 people max per workshop. The goal is for each participant to gain clarity on how to better handle themselves when dealing with some of life’s more difficult challenges.
The Change Navigation Workshop can be very specifically designed to meet the needs of the client. If there is something unique to your organization which is pertinent to the workshop, it may be tailored to address any requested need with more focus and detail on that adversity.
If the need is to offer several larger groups of people a chance to learn about becoming better equipped to face adversity, a series of break-out sessions may also be an option here. In this program, throughout the course of the day material is presented in shorter allotted time frames in a more compressed manner. There is no shortage of valuable information however, as this format still lends itself to group discussion, anecdotal storytelling and lecturing. On average these tend to range anywhere from 45 minutes to 90 minutes in length but may always be modified to suit the needs of the customer.
This workshop or break out program can also be complimented by Adversity Mentoring and Coaching for Business, A Speaking Experience, or One on One Adversity Mentoring and Coaching sessions.
The program here is semi-flexible in terms of need, whereby additional days may be added if his schedule permits, and without advance notice, if Aric is already supporting the organization and currently there anyway.
Often times, quantities of books are also added on to this event as a gift for participants.
Any travel costs will be not be included in final negotiated rate, as each contracted event is unique unto itself. Any of these travel expenses not already covered by the hosts or accounted for, will be submitted for payment to Aric within 7 business days post event. (To include all accommodations, meals, transportation and ancillary expenses.)
Final payment for event services are expected upon conclusion of the event on that same day(s).
The retainer deposit secures a good faith commitment for the service after the booking rate has been negotiated.
